Ogun Assembly Moves to Arrest Suspects Over Housing Land Scandal

The lawmakers, under the leadership of Hon. The accused Mr. Emmanuel Osho, Mr. Folabi Osho, Mr. Moshood Lawal Keji, Mr. Owodunni Sodipo, Mr. Adeyiga Jeje Lambo, Mr. Abiodun Soneye, Mr. Tikare, and Mr. Hammed Sodipe are now facing the possibility of arrest if they fail to appear before the committee by 12:00 noon on Thursday, June 26, 2025.

In a parallel case, the committee also summoned another group of nine individuals accused of land grabbing activities at the Housing Corporation’s Itanrin Estate in Ijebu-Ode. These individuals Mr. Sikiru Shittu Onakoya, Mr. Ismail Onakoya, Mr. Azeez Shittu Onakoya, Mr. Tunde Onakoya, Alhaji Olukorede Baoku, Mr. Adeleke Yekeen Abu, Alhaji Ikililu Alawiye, Chief Akeem Abajo, and Mr. Adegunwa Kunle Oluwatosin—must also appear before the Assembly by 1:00 pm on the same day.

The Committee has made it clear: should any of the summoned parties fail to appear, the Assembly will invoke its constitutional powers under Section 129 to issue arrest warrants. The lawmakers reaffirmed their commitment to protecting public assets and ensuring accountability in the administration of land matters across the state.
