The approval follows the submission of the Public Service Negotiation Committee’s report, according to a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi.

The negotiation process involved a team from the state government led by the Governor’s Chief of Staff, Kazeem Akinleye, and a labor delegation headed by the State NLC Chairman, Comrade Christopher Arapasopo.

In the statement, Governor Adeleke emphasized that the implementation of the new minimum wage aligns with his administration’s commitment to social justice, economic growth, and improved living standards for workers and citizens in Osun State.

“The Adeleke-led administration is dedicated to prioritizing the welfare of civil servants who continue to deliver quality service despite the state’s limited resources,” the statement read.

Governor Adeleke urged civil servants to enhance their service delivery by adopting innovative solutions and maintaining transparency and accountability. He expressed confidence that these efforts would drive the growth and development of the state.

The approval of the new minimum wage positions Osun State as one of the states in Nigeria committed to improving workers’ welfare despite economic challenges.
