FCT Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu, disclosed this on Friday after the FCT Security Council meeting, urging residents to report any cases of harassment to the police.

The notorious revenue collectors operate across the six Area Councils, with their activities particularly rampant in Kubwa, Bwari, and the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC).

Disu assured residents that security forces are launching operations to put an end to these illegal activities. He emphasized that the police emergency numbers are available for residents to report incidents promptly.

At the meeting chaired by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, security chiefs also provided updates on efforts to curb infrastructure vandalism, manhole theft, and electric cable theft.

Additionally, ongoing clearance operations in border communities surrounding the FCT were reviewed, aimed at preventing the infiltration of bandits and insurgents into Abuja. Security agencies are now set to collaborate with neighboring states for joint operations and intelligence sharing.

The multi-agency task force, consisting of six security bodies, will continue executing targeted operations to ensure safety within the FCT.
