Mr. Kuye expressed the committee’s dissatisfaction with the current state of government assets nationwide, emphasizing the need for better documentation and physical possession to safeguard these properties.

“We requested documents for any joint ventures, but there has been no response. We asked for a list of assets, including detailed descriptions, acquisition dates, and current conditions, but your responses have been inadequate,” said Mr. Kuye.

The hearing included representatives from the National Orientation Agency (NOA) and the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT). NOA Director General, Mr. Lanre Onilu, reported that the agency operates from 812 locations across Nigeria’s 774 Local Government Areas. He noted that many assets are under contention due to community encroachment and promised to provide a more comprehensive list of the agency’s assets at the next hearing.
