Dangiwa made this known while speaking at the Nigeria Police Housing Summit holding under the theme “Renewed Hope for Police Housing in Nigeria”, in Abuja, recently. The minister, Represented by the Managing Director, Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, Shehu Osidi, emphasized that it had become imperative to pay attention to providing adequate housing for law enforcement officers.

Speaking at the Summit, He said, “as we embark on this journey towards revitalizing police housing in Nigeria, let us be guided by a shared vision of a future where every police officer has access to safe, decent, and affordable housing.

Let us draw inspiration from the resilience and dedication of our law enforcement personnel who selflessly serve our nation day in and day out”.

“It is also important that we recognize the importance of community engagement and consultation in the planning and implementation process of delivering housing to the Police. Inclusive approaches that take into account the needs and aspirations of the police officers will ensure that our interventions are both effective and sustainable in the long run”.

Dangiwa also stated that the Administration of President Tinubu will continue to Forge partnerships with the Private Sector to reposition the trajectory of the Housing Sector. The high-powered Police Summit had in attendance senior officials of the Police Force including the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, Stakeholders from the Housing Industry among others.
