The Ogun State government has finalized plans to refund N92.6 million to 33 subscribers who were unsuccessful in securing homes through the state’s housing schemes, according to the Commissioner for Housing, Jagunmolu Omoniyi.

Omoniyi made the announcement on Tuesday while presenting the housing sector’s planned projects during the breakdown of the 2025 approved budget, tagged the “Budget of Hope and Prosperity,” at the Olusegun Osoba Press Centre in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

The commissioner explained that the Dapo Abiodun-led administration, through the Ministry of Housing, had already approved the process to refund the money to the affected subscribers. “We have collated the details of all 33 unsuccessful subscribers, and their refunds, totaling N92.6 million, will be processed through bank checks,” Omoniyi said.

He reassured the public that the state government had ensured that all housing deliveries had been completed for the beneficiaries. “All housing deliveries have been sorted for all successful subscribers, and those who did not receive their homes will have their payments refunded,” he added.

Omoniyi further emphasized the government’s commitment to providing affordable housing, stating, “Rest assured, this government is responsible, responsive, and accountable. We’ve taken a firm position to provide affordable housing, and regardless of the challenges from rising costs, we’ve made sure that all the refunds are ready for collection.”

The refunded amount will be distributed to the 33 subscribers in the form of bank checks, available for collection at the Ministry of Housing.
