Public Education is Key

During a recent visit to the Bureau’s office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, the Special Adviser and Director-General, Segun Fowora, welcomed the NOA team. The visit was led by the NOA State Director, Oyebisi Andrew.

Fowora explained that many people lose their money to fake land agents because they don’t understand the right steps for buying land. He said the Bureau hopes this new partnership will help educate the public and prevent them from falling into the hands of fraudsters.

Joint Effort to Protect Residents

Fowora said the Bureau is happy to work closely with NOA. He added that the state has already set up a task force to fight back against illegal land grabs.

Fatai Adegboyega, a consultant to the state government on land matters, praised the partnership. He promised full support from the Bureau, including sharing information and providing needed materials.

Reaching All Communities

Adedeji Adewale, Director of Land Services, said the structure of NOA makes it easy to reach people in both towns and villages. He believes this will help spread the message quickly and clearly.

In her remarks, Oyebisi Andrew of NOA said the agency plans to involve traditional leaders, youth groups, and other key figures to spread the word.

Campaign Tools Ready

Toyin Oluwa, NOA’s Director of Community Outreach, thanked the Bureau for embracing the partnership. She said she looks forward to more teamwork in the future. The visit ended with the presentation of flyers and educational materials to support the awareness campaign.
