An Ogun State High Court in Sagamu has issued interim injunctions restraining the state government and its agents from demolishing or interfering with several properties owned by former governor Gbenga Daniel and his wife, Yeye Olufunke Daniel.

The court actions followed demolition notices issued on August 8 to Asoludero Court, Conference Hotel, and an annex all located in Sagamu GRA. The properties are backed by valid Certificates of Occupancy.

Justice O.S. Oloyede granted ex parte orders to maintain the status quo pending full hearings on August 19, 2025. The court filings cite lack of due process and label the notices as politically motivated.

Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration, however, asserts the notices were part of a state audit and compliance enforcement across all GRAs, not targeted at any individual.
