A Lagos State High Court in Ikeja will hear a dispute between Adamakin Investment and Lagos State Government officials.

The case, filed as ID/8890GCM/2024, challenges land ownership restrictions imposed by multiple agencies, including the Attorney General’s office.

Adamakin Investment argues that government directives unlawfully reverse estate ownership without proper legal processes or consultation with affected parties.

The company cites a 1912 Federal Supreme Court ruling and a 1954 Petition of Right to validate its ownership claims.

Claimants seek court declarations lifting restrictions, stopping demolitions, and preventing government agencies from questioning estate beneficiaries without justification.

Additionally, they request an injunction prohibiting interference, confiscation, or prosecution relating to the disputed land’s ownership and management.

The Lagos State Government has fourteen days to respond, defending its actions and justifying the imposed restrictions on transactions.
