The directive was issued during a town hall meeting with political and traditional leaders, days after the Palm Sunday attack in Angwan Rukuba, which left more than 27 people dead.

The Minister of Communications, Bosun Tijani, confirmed that the cameras will be artificial intelligence-enabled, allowing real-time monitoring and faster identification of security threats.

The wives of five engineers kidnapped during a road construction project in in 2021 have appealed to President and the leadership of the National Assembly to intervene and help locate their missing husbands.

President Bola Tinubu has approved the Nigerian delegation for the US-Nigeria Joint Working Group, with National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu appointed to lead the team.
