<p data-start="746" data-end="890">Eko Atlantic is a self-sustaining urban development project built entirely on reclaimed land along the Lagos coast for financial institutions.</p>
<p data-start="892" data-end="1050">It aims to become Nigeria’s new financial hub, offering world-class infrastructure, reliable energy, and modern urban planning for businesses and investors.</p>
<p data-start="1052" data-end="1220">MTN’s announcement follows First Bank’s recent groundbreaking ceremony for its green-certified headquarters, attended by Vice President Shettima and industry leaders.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The NAE Council announced this prestigious recognition earlier this month.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Expressing his gratitude for this honor, Toriola emphasized the pivotal role that the Nigerian Academy of Engineering plays in shaping the country&#8217;s engineering and technological landscape. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">He highlighted that this acknowledgment not only reflects his personal achievements but also underscores a commitment to national service and recognizes the collective efforts of the MTN Nigeria team in advancing digital and technological infrastructure in the country.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Toriola&#8217;s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria, and a Master’s of Science degree in Communication Systems from the University of Wales, Swansea, UK.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">With a career spanning various leadership roles in prominent organizations in Nigeria, Toriola took on the position of Chief Technical Officer at MTN Nigeria in 2006. He later served as CEO of MTN Congo Brazzaville and MTN Cameroun before becoming Vice President of MTN Group’s WECA (West and Central Africa) for five years. In October 2020, he was appointed as the CEO of MTN Nigeria.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Alongside Toriola, other notable engineers recognized as Fellows by the NAE include Chiwuzie Victor Madunagu, Danshehu Bagudu Gwadangaji, Dosunmu Olufemi Olukayode, Ekwue Arthur Obiora, Ige David Oluseyi, Jibrin Umar Gambo, Makanjuola Bamidele Osuolale, Mallo Stephen Jackdell, Ogaji Stephen Ogajiye Tamuno-Ojuemi, Opaluwa Samson Ameh, Oyedele Ifeoluwa Olusola, and Zedomi Akintunde Sean.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Established in 1997, the Nigerian Academy of Engineering serves as a national hub for engineering and technology expertise, providing guidance through research and influencing developmental policies. The NAE&#8217;s Fellows are esteemed Nigerian engineering professionals who have excelled in various fields, including business, academia, and government, both locally and internationally.</p>
