Dangote Refinery has announced plans to boost production from 650,000 to 1.4 million barrels per day, making it the world’s largest refinery when completed.
At a press briefing in Lagos, Dangote Group President Aliko Dangote said the move reflects confidence in Nigeria’s economy and supports President Bola Tinubu’s vision of energy self-sufficiency.
He said the expansion will create about 65,000 jobs, increase polypropylene output to 2.4 million metric tonnes yearly, and produce Euro VI-standard fuels.
“Our goal is not just to refine oil, but to refine opportunities for our people,” Dangote said, assuring Nigerians of stable fuel supply during the festive season.
