FG, Islamic Development Bank Strengthen Ties to Fast-Track Road, Bridge Projects

The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) to speed up key road and bridge projects across Nigeria.

Minister of Works, David Umahi, disclosed this while receiving an IsDB delegation led by Ibrahim Chalive in Abuja. According to a statement by the ministry, discussions focused on funding and implementing key components of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Legacy Road Projects.

Umahi said road infrastructure remains vital to economic growth and job creation, noting that the ministry is committed to transparency and cost-effective project delivery. He thanked the National Assembly and the IsDB for their continued support of Nigeria’s infrastructure drive.

Chalive commended the ministry’s reforms in design and project management and assured continued financial and technical support. Both parties agreed to form a joint technical team to ensure accountability and timely project completion.
