The Federal Government has pegged the price of a one-bedroom semi-detached bungalow at N8.5 million under its Renewed Hope Housing Estate Programme, aimed at making homeownership more affordable and transparent for Nigerians.
In a statement on Thursday, the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development announced uniform prices across all states:
- One-bedroom: N8.5 million
- Two-bedroom: N11.5 million
- Three-bedroom: N12.5 million
The Ministry said the uniform pricing ensures equity, affordability, and fairness, allowing Nigerians nationwide to benefit equally.
Minister Ahmed Musa Dangiwa noted that allocation priority will go to low- and middle-income earners, civil servants, private sector workers, and Nigerians in the Diaspora.
Permanent Secretary Dr. Shuaib Belgore added that flexible payment options—outright purchase, mortgage, rent-to-own, and instalment plans—are available to make ownership easier. Sales of completed homes across the country will begin soon.
