The International Institute of Publishing Studies (IIPS), University of Abuja, has graduated a new set of students from the Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information (NASPRI) after successfully completing a one-month industrial training in graphics design, printing, and electronic design.

The program, which ran from August 1 to 31, 2025, was designed to build the professional competence of NASPRI students in modern publishing and digital communication, preparing them to compete globally while meeting the specific needs of the military.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, the Commandant of NASPRI, Lieutenant Colonel Adamu Yahaya Ngulde, said the collaboration with IIPS was conceived to provide practical exposure for students. He stressed that the skills acquired would enable them to become “globally competitive and resourceful in their military careers.” Ngulde further called for the sustainability of the partnership, noting that two cohorts of NASPRI students had already benefited from the program.

In his remarks, the Director of IIPS, Professor Chris Ogbonda, commended the graduates for their discipline, dedication, and enthusiasm throughout the training. He expressed delight at their performance in both theory and practical assessments, describing the outcome as “a clear demonstration of their expertise and readiness for the professional world.” He encouraged the students to keep improving themselves in order to stand out among their peers.

The graduation ceremony featured presentations of students’ final projects, awarding of certificates, exchange of souvenirs, and group photographs.

Closing the event, Lieutenant Colonel Ngulde expressed appreciation to the IIPS management and staff for their support and professionalism, urging the graduates to put their newly acquired knowledge and skills into effective use in their future assignments.
