Resida, a property technology company focused on improving the rental experience in Nigeria, has launched a comprehensive housing platform designed to simplify how people search for homes, pay rent, and manage property-related services.
The platform enters the market at a time when many renters continue to face challenges such as fraudulent property listings, complicated rental processes, inadequate record keeping, and limited access to dependable maintenance services.
According to the company, the new solution combines multiple housing services into a single ecosystem, allowing users to browse verified properties, apply for short-term and long-term rentals, make secure payments, and connect with trusted service providers for repairs and maintenance.
Founder of Resida, Ilemobayo Kings Ayejuni, said the platform was developed to address long-standing inefficiencies within the rental sector and create a more transparent experience for tenants, landlords, and property managers. He noted that the traditional rental process has often been fragmented and burdened by trust issues, making it difficult for users to navigate housing transactions smoothly.
Beyond helping users find accommodation, the platform provides landlords and property managers with tools for tenant verification, rent collection, financial reporting, and maintenance tracking. The company believes these features will help improve operational efficiency and reduce administrative challenges associated with property management.
Resida revealed that it currently operates in more than 15 locations across Lagos, offering renters access to a growing inventory of inspected and verified properties. The company plans to continue expanding its presence as demand for digital housing solutions increases.
The launch highlights the growing role of technology in Nigeria’s real estate sector, where startups are increasingly developing innovative solutions to address housing accessibility, rental management, and affordability challenges. Recent industry reports have shown rising demand for flexible housing options and structured rental solutions across major cities, particularly Lagos.
Available on web, Android, and iOS platforms, Resida enables users to manage various aspects of the rental journey from a single application, providing a more streamlined and reliable experience for both renters and property owners.
