Investors and industry leaders are turning their focus to West Africa’s estimated $668 billion infrastructure market as Lagos prepares to host a major international exhibition in April 2026.

Global events organiser, dmg events, announced that the West Africa Infrastructure Expo and HVACR Nigeria will hold from April 7 to 9, 2026, bringing together government officials, investors and technology providers to explore opportunities in infrastructure development and climate-conscious innovations.

The exhibitions will spotlight critical areas including urban connectivity, power supply, water and waste management, digital infrastructure and sustainable technologies.

Speaking on the significance of the event, Matt Denton, President of dmg events, said West Africa’s rapid urbanisation and climate challenges are reshaping the region’s future.

“With West Africa Infrastructure Expo and HVACR Nigeria, we are creating focused events that not only highlight the scale of opportunity but also address infrastructure development and climate-conscious technologies,” he said.

The expos will feature discussions on landmark projects such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Railway, Abidjan-Lagos Corridor Highway, Escravos Seaport Industrial Complex and the Africa Data Centre in Accra. They will also align with Nigeria’s National Integrated Infrastructure Master Plan, which seeks to raise infrastructure stock to 70 percent of GDP by 2043.

Running alongside, HVACR Nigeria will spotlight the region’s growing demand for energy-efficient heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Nigeria’s HVACR sector is projected to grow at an annual rate of 8.78 percent between 2025 and 2029, according to Statista Market Insights.

According to dmg events, the exhibitions will provide a vital platform for international solution providers and local businesses to collaborate, support sustainable growth, and unlock the vast infrastructure potential of West Africa.
