Lana Adeoye, CEO of Fendini Group, has made a passionate call for the overhaul of Nigeria’s housing strategy, describing the current policy as outdated and inadequate to tackle the nation’s growing housing deficit.
He urged the government to adopt bold and realistic reforms that can support the delivery of affordable mass housing across the country.
Speaking in a media statement on Tuesday, Adeoye said the housing sector remains a powerful driver of economic recovery, job creation, and empowerment if harnessed correctly. He stressed the importance of governments at all levels working hand in hand with professional bodies and research institutions to craft efficient, home-grown solutions that align with Nigeria’s unique realities.

Reaffirming Fendini Group’s mission, Adeoye spotlighted their flagship development, Rayfield Gardens City Estate in Ibadan, as an example of blending affordability with luxury. He praised the increasing acceptance of local building materials, a trend he believes could further reduce construction costs if widely embraced.
He also lauded the Oyo State Government for supporting the Rayfield Gardens initiative through a public-private partnership with OYSIPA, calling the estate one of the safest and most promising investments in the region. He particularly commended Governor Seyi Makinde’s leadership, saying the state’s development has taken center stage under his administration.
