The First Rotech Group of Companies Ltd has unveiled plans for its Abuja Airport Garden City project, a large-scale housing development expected to accommodate more than 3,000 residents, offering relief to Nigeria’s widening housing deficit.

Speaking to journalists in Abuja, the company’s Chairman, Austin Oguejiofor, explained that the project is not just a residential estate but a fully planned city designed with modern infrastructure to international standards.

“We are building a community where people can live, work, and thrive. Every component—from roads to security and power—has been deliberately designed to meet long-term needs,” Oguejiofor said.

The project, which recently secured approval from the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), has already commenced with the construction of a major access road. The road will connect the new city to the Abuja Industrial Park and the Abuja Airport Railway Station, ensuring improved connectivity for residents and businesses.

According to Oguejiofor, the development will feature essential amenities including round-the-clock electricity, high-speed internet, CCTV surveillance in public spaces, modern sanitation systems, and continuous water supply. It will also host a fully equipped hospital, pharmacies, fire and police stations, banks, schools, recreational facilities, and landscaped green areas.

“The location, between the airport and central rail station, makes it an ideal hub for both residential and commercial activity,” he added.

To strengthen the project’s digital infrastructure, First Rotech has partnered with T-One Technology Ltd, which will provide smart mapping tools and digital platforms to improve navigation, property management, and investment opportunities for stakeholders.

Oguejiofor emphasized that the initiative is designed to stimulate economic growth in the Federal Capital Territory while ensuring residents enjoy a modern, secure, and sustainable living environment.
