Suspected gunmen on Friday reportedly abducted a school principal and an unspecified number of students of a secondary school in Ahoro Esinele, Oriire Local Government Area (LGA) of Oyo state.
Blueprint.ng gathered that the gunmen reportedly stormed Community High School, Ahoro-Esinele between 8am – 9am during which a teacher in the school was also shot.
Sources said the Principal, identified as Mrs Rachael Alamu was reportedly drove out of the school in her car by the gunmen and later escaped into a forest reserve that borders the community.
Reliable Police source said as at the time of sending this story, the Oyo state Commissioner of Police is on the way to Ahoro Esinele with his team to ascertain the situation.
Recently, insecurity has heightened in Oyo state with victims being killed and kidnapped in parts of the state.
