The Federal Government has been urged to replicate Oyo State’s effective affordable housing model to help tackle Nigeria’s housing deficit.

This call was made by Adelaja Adeoye, President and CEO of Fendini Group, during a press briefing in Ibadan. The event marked the official issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy for Rayfield Gardens City Estate, a major residential development in the state.

Adeoye highlighted the urgent need for enabling policies and tax incentives to support real estate developers. He stressed that the soaring cost of building materials continues to drive up housing prices, making homeownership unattainable for many Nigerians.

“With the right policies such as tax waivers and government-backed infrastructure the cost of building homes can be reduced. That’s how we can make affordable housing a reality for more citizens,” Adeoye said.

He praised Oyo State’s consistent support for private investment. He described the state as a rising hub for developers, thanks to its stable policies, investor protections, and infrastructure growth under Governor Seyi Makinde.

“Governor Makinde’s assurance that political transitions will not disrupt existing investments has boosted investor confidence in the real estate sector,” he added.

The issuance of title documents for Rayfield Gardens City Estate was described as a crucial step in protecting investor interests and enhancing transparency.

Adeoye said the estate is designed as a model for sustainable community development. It features stable electricity, paved roads, and 24/7 security services all essential for creating livable, long-term communities.

In closing, Adeoye thanked subscribers and investors for their continued trust. He reaffirmed Fendini Group’s commitment to transparency, quality delivery, and timely issuance of property titles.

“Our mission is to make homeownership safer, simpler, and more accessible for every Nigerian,” he said. “We are committed to excellence in every part of the journey.”
