The Housing Development Advocacy Network (HDAN) has showcased ₦5 million low-cost housing units developed by Shelter Origin in Abuja, positioning the project as a practical response to Nigeria’s affordable housing challenge.

Speaking in Abuja on Sunday, HDAN Executive Director, Festus Adebayo, described the development as proof that quality housing can be delivered at prices accessible to low- and middle-income earners.

He said the project reflects Shelter Origin’s strong commitment to affordability, smart design, and efficient construction methods.

According to Adebayo, the ₦5m housing units demonstrate that innovative building approaches and responsible pricing can significantly reduce housing costs without compromising liveability or safety standards. He noted that Shelter Origin’s model offers a scalable solution that can be replicated across urban and peri-urban communities.
