NIS Confirms Cardiff Venue For Special Passport Intervention Exercise

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has confirmed the venue for its Special Passport Intervention Exercise in Cardiff, United Kingdom, as part of efforts to ease passport processing for Nigerians in the diaspora.

The intervention exercise, which was extended to run from October 6 to October 30, 2026, will take place at the Western Leisure Centre, Ely, Cardiff CF5 5HJ.

The NIS disclosed this in a statement issued by its Service Public Relations Officer, DCI Akinsola Akinlabi, on Friday, October 2.

Applicants Must Book Appointments

According to the Service, applicants must book appointments ahead of the exercise and attend strictly on their scheduled dates and times.

The NIS said appointments could be booked through its designated online form or via the Nigeria High Commission’s website.

“Consequently, applicants are required to book their intervention appointments via https://form.jotform.com/passportlondon/2026-passport-intervention-phase2 or through the Nigeria High Commission’s website and are to strictly adhere to their scheduled dates and times,” the statement said.

The Service stressed that the exercise would not accommodate walk-in applicants.

“Only Applicants with booked appointments will be attended to.”

Documents Required

Applicants attending the intervention exercise are required to present:

  • Completed passport application form
  • Payment slips as proof of payment
  • Intervention appointment printout
  • Self-addressed return envelope
  • Current passport, except for fresh passport applications or lost passports

The NIS also clarified that cash payments would not be accepted at the venue.

The Service urged applicants to cooperate with officials to ensure an orderly and smooth exercise.

It reaffirmed its commitment to providing “efficient, transparent and responsive passport Service Delivery to Nigerians at home and in the diaspora.”
