Police Confirm Terrorists Bomb Niger Bridge Using IED
The Niger State Police Command confirmed the attack. The spokesperson, SP Wasiu Abiodun, said the attackers used an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) to destroy the bridge.
He explained that the suspects likely operated from the Kainji National Park axis. According to him, the attack appears to target security operations in the area.
Police have since intensified clearance operations. In addition, officers continue to monitor the situation closely to prevent further attacks.
