Emergency Teams Rescue Six as Two-Storey Building Collapses in Lagos

Emergency workers in Lagos pulled six people to safety on Wednesday evening after a two-storey building suddenly collapsed on Modupeola Street in the Mangoro area of Alimosho.

The incident, which occurred around 6:00 pm, drew a swift response from emergency agencies. Officials from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) confirmed that one person was trapped under the rubble but was successfully freed, while five others were pulled out with varying degrees of injuries.

Five of the victims were taken to a nearby private hospital, while the individual with a fracture and other injuries was transferred to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital for further care. Authorities said his condition remains stable.

An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the collapse.
