FCT Minister Calls for Unity in Building a Stronger Capital Territory

Federal Capital Territory’s Honourable Minister, Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, in a New Year’s message, urged the FCT’s residents to unite with the Administration for a more robust and prosperous capital territory.

In his address on January 1st, 2024, Mr. Wike extended warm greetings to all FCT residents, expressing gratitude for the gift of life in the new year. He emphasized the successes achieved in 2023 under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership, citing the Renewed Hope Agenda as a blueprint for the FCT’s development.

He reiterated the alignment between the FCT’s aspirations and the promises within the Renewed Hope Agenda, focusing on infrastructure enhancement, inclusive growth, and sustainability.

Highlighting achievements made in various sectors, Mr. Wike detailed plans for 2024. These encompass infrastructure development, economic empowerment, social welfare, sustainable practices, community engagement, inclusivity, and security. He urged prompt tax payments and active involvement in the FCT’s progress from residents.

Mr. Wike called for collaboration and support for President Tinubu’s transformative vision, aiming for positive change and elevating the nation and the FCT. He concluded by wishing everyone a joyful, peaceful, and prosperous New Year.
