Ibadan Couple Raises Alarm Over Alleged Land Grabbing, Intimidation

An Ibadan-based couple, Mr. Ridwan Olalekan Saka and Mrs. Sakirat Omobolanle Saka, has accused family members of land grabbing, intimidation, and threats over a 36-acre inherited land in Ido Local Government, Oyo State.

Allegations of Threats and Intimidation

Speaking at a women advocacy program in Lagos, Mrs. Saka alleged that her husband’s relatives had illegally sold portions of the land and resorted to violence and spiritual attacks when confronted.

She recounted how their home was invaded by armed men, forcing them to flee Ibadan overnight for their safety.

Struggles for Justice

Despite reporting the case to law enforcement agencies, the couple claims no action has been taken due to the influence of powerful family members involved in the alleged land grab.

Mrs. Saka appealed to civil rights organizations and the Nigerian public to intervene, ensuring justice and protection for her family.
