The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed 12 establishments across parts of Lagos State over what it described as persistent violations of environmental regulations.
The enforcement operation was carried out on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, across Ogba, Idimu-Ikota, Ejigbo, LASU-Iba Road, Igando and Agodo-Egbe.
LASEPA announced the action on Wednesday, saying the affected establishments had received repeated warnings, abatement notices and opportunities to comply with the agency’s directives before the enforcement exercise.
The agency said the operation was carried out in line with Lagos State Government directives to strengthen compliance with environmental laws, safeguard public health and promote a cleaner and safer environment.
The enforcement affected a range of establishments, including hotels, lounges, a nightclub, a furniture business, a plastics company, a vegetable oil business and a church.
LASEPA Cites Noise Pollution And Non-Compliance
According to LASEPA, the violations varied from one establishment to another.
Thrillz Lounge on Odusanmi Street in Ogba was sealed over noise pollution and non-compliance with the agency’s directives.
Feixiang Plastic, located along LASU-Ojo Road at Oko Filling Bus Stop, was also sealed for non-compliance.
Marvel Hotel & Suites on Chrisbee Crescent, BRT Bus Stop, Igando, was sealed over noise pollution and non-compliance.
Keviz Hotel & Suites on Councilor Ajayi Street, Obadore Bus Stop, along LASU-Iba Road, was sealed for obstruction of duty and non-compliance.
DSN Hotel & Suites on Benson Onyeacholen Street, O’Mark Bus Stop, along LASU-Igando Road, was also sealed for non-compliance.
Rudaj Vegetable Oil, located on Tanimowo Street, Ologufe Bus Stop, Igando Road, was similarly sealed for non-compliance with LASEPA’s directives.
Church Among Establishments Sealed
A Celestial Church of Christ parish was also affected by the enforcement operation.
The Celestial Church of Christ, Aduragbemi Parish, located on Adetola Buhari Street, Okerube Bus Stop, Ikotun, was sealed over noise pollution and non-compliance with LASEPA directives.
The agency has repeatedly carried out environmental enforcement operations involving religious institutions in Lagos, particularly where it identifies noise pollution or other environmental concerns.
In the latest operation, however, LASEPA’s stated reason for sealing the parish was specifically noise pollution and non-compliance.
The action forms part of the agency’s broader enforcement mandate covering religious institutions, commercial operators and other facilities across the state.
LASEPA has urged religious institutions and other operators to comply with applicable environmental standards and obtain the required approvals.
More Hotels, Businesses Shut
Limas, located on Aro-Oloye Street, off Abaranje Road in Abaranje, Ikotun, was sealed for non-compliance with the agency’s directives.
Nico Hotel & Suites, located at Ayawo Close, NEPA Bus Stop, along Egbe-Isolo Road in Ejigbo, was also sealed for non-compliance.
At Agodo-Egbe, 10Kobo Night Club on Abanishe Street, off Hostel Road, was sealed over noise pollution and non-compliance.
Master Furniture on Coleman Street, Pao Bus Stop, Idimu-Ikota Road, was sealed for non-compliance.
Nikky’s Executive Bar & Lounge on Governor’s Road, Ikotun, was the 12th establishment listed by LASEPA and was also sealed for non-compliance with the agency’s directives.
The agency’s list shows that most of the closures were linked to failure to comply with directives, while specific establishments were additionally cited for noise pollution or obstruction of duty.
Agency Says Operators Had Prior Warnings
LASEPA said the enforcement action did not come without prior engagement with the affected establishments.
According to the agency, the premises had received warnings, abatement notices and opportunities to address the identified environmental concerns.
LASEPA said the establishments nevertheless failed to implement the prescribed corrective measures or comply with its directives.
The agency therefore proceeded with the enforcement operation as part of its responsibility to ensure that businesses and other facilities comply with environmental requirements.
The statement did not provide details of the dates of the individual warnings or the specific corrective measures demanded from each establishment.
It also did not state how long each establishment would remain sealed or the specific conditions required for reopening.

LASEPA Warns Businesses And Religious Institutions
LASEPA General Manager, Dr Babatunde Ajayi, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to protecting public health and preserving the environment.
Ajayi urged business owners, facility operators, religious institutions, scrap dealers and residents across Lagos to adopt environmentally responsible practices.
He also called on operators to obtain the necessary permits and approvals and comply with applicable environmental regulations.
The LASEPA boss further urged affected and other operators to cooperate with the agency as it carries out its regulatory responsibilities.
The agency said it would continue enforcement activities across Lagos against activities that violate environmental regulations or pose risks to public health and the wellbeing of residents.

The latest operation is part of a continuing pattern of environmental enforcement by LASEPA across different parts of Lagos.
