The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced that it will conduct aerial display rehearsals over Abuja and Lagos in preparation for its 61st anniversary celebrations slated for May 23, 2025.

In a public statement issued on Monday by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the NAF urged residents of both cities not to be alarmed by the low-flying aircraft and aerial manoeuvres taking place in the skies.

According to Ejodame, the aerial displays are part of efforts to showcase the professionalism and operational readiness of the Air Force during the anniversary’s grand finale. He assured the public that all rehearsals are being carried out with strict adherence to safety protocols.

“Residents are kindly advised not to panic but to go about their normal activities, as the rehearsals are carefully planned and executed with a strong emphasis on safety,” the statement read.

The NAF also expressed appreciation for the public’s understanding and continued support as it commemorates over six decades of service to the nation.
