The Cross River State Government has awarded Miss Arit Abam, an ex-NYSC member, with automatic employment in the state civil service.

This commendable gesture was in recognition of her act of gratitude towards her father, who sacrificed to provide her with higher education.

Furthermore, Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State recently completed a three-bedroom bungalow for Miss Abam in Ugep Local Government Area of Cross River State.

This gesture was inspired by a viral video where she courageously returned to her father’s thatched house to present her NYSC certificate, acknowledging her father’s decision to prioritize her education over personal comforts.

Governor Otu further extended the privilege to Miss Arit to choose any ministry, department, or agency where she would prefer to work within the state civil service.
