In a bold call to action, Reftop Homes Limited, one of Nigeria’s leading real estate firms, has challenged governments and industry stakeholders to take immediate steps to tackle the nation’s worsening housing deficit.
The call came during the company’s inaugural board meeting held in Lagos, where key figures gathered to set a new agenda for sustainable housing development in the country.
Dr. Akin Akinpelu, a member of the board, emphasized that Nigeria’s housing crisis cannot be ignored if the country hopes to make economic progress. He argued that the solution lies in providing not just shelter, but affordable, secure, and long-lasting housing options for the Nigerian people. “Bridging the housing deficit is a critical piece of navigating our economic challenges,” Akinpelu said. “We need a framework that supports sustainable development something more than temporary fixes.
