The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has firmly denied claims that he allocated 41 plots of land in Abuja to his two sons.

Speaking on Thursday, Wike said the allegations were false and politically motivated. He accused a failed politician from Adamawa State of sponsoring the claims.

Although he refused to name the individual, Wike explained that engaging with such people adds no value to national development.

“I have never given any land to my children,” he said. “These accusations are part of a desperate attempt to distract from the work we are doing in the FCT.”

The minister described the allegations as a smear campaign aimed at damaging his reputation and undermining the reforms currently underway in Abuja.

Wike reaffirmed his commitment to transparency in land administration and governance. He added that his office remains open to scrutiny and welcomes accountability.

Community leaders and stakeholders in the FCT have also called for evidence-based discourse, urging the public to avoid spreading unverified claims.
