The Federal Government has unveiled “Nigeria @ 65: All Hands on Deck for a Greater Nation” as the theme for the country’s 2025 Independence Day festivities.

Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Public Relations at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), announced this in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja.

He explained that the theme underscores the call for unity, collaboration, and patriotism from all sectors government, private organizations, civil society, and citizens alike towards building peace, prosperity, and national progress.

The statement further noted that the theme highlights Nigeria’s resilience since gaining independence in 1960, while emphasizing the need to consolidate past gains and pursue higher aspirations in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda.

To reinforce this message, ministries, agencies, and partners have been urged to tailor their activities to reflect the theme so that it resonates across every sphere of national life.

Activities marking the 65th Independence anniversary will include a special Juma’at prayer on Friday, September 26, an inter-denominational church service on Sunday, September 28, and a World Press Conference scheduled for Monday, September 29, in Abuja.
