FAAN, MTN Launch Free WiFi at Lagos and Abuja Airports

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) in collaboration with MTN Nigeria has launched free WiFi services at Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Terminal 2, Lagos, and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

The service was inaugurated on Thursday by FAAN’s Managing Director/CEO, Olubunmi Kuku, represented by the Director of Airport Operations, Abdullahi Mahmood. According to the agency, the service will soon expand to other terminals and international airports across Nigeria within three months.

Key Highlights

FAAN had previously announced a ban on cash transactions for all airport services, effective February 28, 2026, as part of its digitalization drive.
