President on Thursday held a closed-door meeting with Nigeria’s top military and security chiefs at the in , as concerns grow over recent attacks on security personnel and military formations across the country.

According to the update, the meeting comes amid heightened security challenges in parts of Nigeria, prompting the President to consult with the nation’s security leadership.

Sources indicated that the service chiefs and the newly appointed Inspector-General of Police, , arrived at the Presidential Villa for the meeting without their official vehicles, suggesting a high-level and urgent security discussion.

The meeting also followed a separate engagement held a day earlier between the , Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, and the service chiefs.
