The Osun State Government has announced a temporary restriction on all access roads leading to the newly completed Lameco Flyover Bridge in Osogbo. This strategic closure comes ahead of the official commissioning ceremony scheduled to take place on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
According to state authorities, the traffic diversion will take effect before 7:00 a.m. to guarantee public safety and facilitate a seamless event. The temporary measures are vital for managing the anticipated crowd and ensuring logistics run smoothly during the high-profile infrastructure unveiling.
In a public statement, the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Engineer Bashir Bello, explained that the structural lockdown is necessary to accommodate the formal launch of multiple landmark projects completed under Governor Ademola Adeleke. The formal opening of the five-span Lameco Overhead Bridge will serve as the centerpiece of the state’s development celebrations.
