Former Jigawa Housing Authority MD Killed in Robbery Attack

A former Managing Director of the Jigawa State Housing Authority, Hassan Garba, and two of his companions, Garba Maiwake and Shehu Sa’idu, were killed in a suspected armed robbery attack in Birnin Kudu Local Government Area of the state.

The victims were reportedly returning home from a farm at Yelwan Damai when they were ambushed by assailants on a motorcycle.

The attackers opened fire on their vehicle before fleeing the scene.

According to the police spokesperson in the state, Lawan Adam, the perpetrators are believed to be armed robbers from neighboring Bauchi State. Efforts are underway to track down the suspects, and the police have deployed tactical teams to the area to intensify patrols.

The bodies of the deceased have been evacuated and taken to the Federal Medical Centre in Birnin Kudu. The incident has left the community in shock and mourning, highlighting the need for improved security measures in the region.
