Police Arrest Abuja’s Second Most Wanted Kidnapper, Samaila Wakili Fafa, in Nasarawa State

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police in Abuja have apprehended Samaila Wakili Fafa, also known as Habu Ibrahim, their second most wanted suspected kidnapper.

The arrest took place on February 24, 2024, around 7:05 pm in Sardauna Forest, Toto, Nasarawa State.

According to SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Samaila Wakili Fafa is the subject of a N20 million bounty placed by FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike. This arrest marks a significant breakthrough in the ongoing efforts against banditry in the FCT and its surroundings.

In an official statement released on Tuesday, the police disclosed, “The suspect confessed to his involvement in several kidnappings, including the abduction and subsequent killing of Barr. Chris Agidy, the legal aide to Senator Ned Nwoko, and Mr. Sunday Yahaya Zakwai, the district head of Ketti Village.”

The Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh, reiterated the police force’s unwavering commitment to combat crime and ensure the safety of residents. Investigations into the matter are ongoing, with the recovered remains of Barr. Chris Agidy being deposited at Gwagwalada General Hospital.
