The Renewed Hope Home ownership and Housing Development campaign Team in conjunction with the Know The Nigerian Network (KTNN) and Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development paid an advocacy visit to the Executive Director of the Housing Development Advocacy Network (HDAN), Barr. Festus Adebayo at his office in Abuja, underscoring the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with key stakeholders in the housing sector
The visit was aimed at fostering dialogue, promoting policy awareness, and building strong partnerships to reduce the housing deficit plaguing the country and also accelerate affordable housing delivery in Nigeria.
The Team lead and project Director of the KTNN advocacy group, Engr. Robert Chenge, expressed deep appreciation for the warm reception accorded to him and his team
“We are very proud and pleased to associate ourselves with you and it is an honor to be here today and i want to thank you for warmly welcoming us. We consider it a very high privilege to have you on board on this very important concept and project that we have brought to this country and it is leaders like yourself who had the foresight and have done quite a lot for the industry and the sub sector.” He stated.
The Head of Admin and Operations of the group, Mr Richard Imhogere also expressed his confidence and acknowledged the support that Barr. Festus Adebayo had always given to the housing development sector. Mr Richard further stated his appeal for support from Barr. Festus for their campaign coming up on the 27th-28th of October, 2025
“I am here with the team from Know The Nigerian Network (KTNN). We are the creators of the Renewed Hope Nationwide Home Ownership and Housing Development Campaign which is set to kick of this month (October) in Katsina State on the 27th-28th.
“Knowing who you are in the sector and knowing the pedigree and your reputation, we have come to formally inform you on what we are planning to do and to seek your support to make this campaign possible”
Barr. Festus is his response appreciated them for the visit and assured them of his support in the course of the campaign highlighting his will and commitment to the issues surrounding the housing sector.
“It gives me the greatest pleasure this morning to receive you here today, My doors are always open when it comes to issues of housing. I left the legal practice to be doing housing and that i have been doing for 25 years. I want to let you know that we will lead the promotion of this agenda, we will do all our best strategically to achieve it for you. Housing is very critical and important and i think it is time for the government to put more priority in housing.” He stressed.
The visit ended with a recognition of Barr. Festus for his outstanding contributions to the housing sector. Presenting the KTNN-endorsed award, Project Director Engr. Robert Chenge expressed pride in Barr. Festus as he was named the National Housing and Urban Development Reform Champion.
