JUST IN: Abductors demand N200m for release of Lagos PDP chairman, others

Abductors have made a demand of N200 million ransom for the release of chairman, Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Philip Aivoji, The Nation has learnt. 

The Nation reports that gunmen had abducted Aivoji, and some other party chieftains on Thursday, January 25.

They were said to have been abducted at the Ogere area of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Aivoji was kidnapped alongside other party members who were with him while returning from the party’s stakeholders’ zonal caucus meeting held in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state.

A party member who craved anonymity disclosed that the abductors are demanding N200 million for the release of the party leaders.
