Kidnappers Demand N100 Million Ransom for Nine School Children and Staff Abducted in Ekiti

In a distressing incident, kidnappers have demanded a hefty N100 million ransom for the release of five pupils and four staff members abducted from Apostolic Faith Group of Schools in Emure Ekiti.

The victims, taken on Monday, were on their way home when gunmen intercepted the school bus just five minutes from the school.

The principal, Boje Olanireti, confirmed the ransom demand and revealed that the perpetrators shot the bus’s tire, forcing the children and staff to disembark. The kidnappers selected five students and four staff members before releasing the others.

The parents, unable to afford the ransom, are desperately seeking assistance from security agencies.

The incident adds to the growing wave of kidnappings across the country, posing a significant challenge for security forces.
